Always vegan, always whole.

We used to eat this side a lot more and back then I hated it. But when my mom remembered it recently and made it again, I fell in love. It's simple and extremely tasty. And when it's hot out, it's a perfect side for a nice cool meal. It's extremely nutritious and very tasty and the crunch of the broccoli adds a nice addition. Enjoy!

6 cups broccoli (cut into bite sized pieces)

1/2 cup raisin

1 cup raw sunflower seed

1/2 cup red onion (finely chopped)


1 cup raw cashews (soaked in boiled water for about 10 minutes to soften)

1/3 cup wate

1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinega

1 tbsp lemon juic

1 tbsp maple syru

1 tbsp shallot, chopped (optionally)

1 clove garlic, choppe

1/2 tsp sal

1/2 tsp Dijon mustar


1.) Blend together all of the sauce ingredients in a blender (like a Vitamix) until very smooth.

2.) Mix slaw and sauce together. Toss until well combined.

And that's it! A perfect side for any meal.
